Transport and Spatial Planning Institute

The Transport and Spatial Planning Institute (IVR) was founded in 2004 as a scientific institution of the Faculty Business, Logistics and Transport at Erfurt University of Applied Sciences and confirmed by the Thuringian Ministry of Educcation and Cultural Affairs. It is dedicated to application-oriented research and knowledge transfer in the fields of transport and spatial planning. It focuses on the investigation of traffic causes and effects, the interrelationships between space, mobility and traffic behaviour as well as urban and regional development. The IVR primarily carries out third-party funded research projects and supports the realisation of concepts and the implementation of innovative solutions. It co-operates successfully with various institutions at national and international level
